Siegelson' vintage Art Deco clocks are up for sale at Baselworld
The highlight of Baselworld has been the exquisite and novel techniques that timepiece that have been introduced over the years. And this year watch lovers will have some thing special to bid for. Siegelson, New York is all set to put a stunning selection of some important Art Deco Clocks dated to 1920s at this year’s Baselworld. Each of these hand crafted clocks were ahead of their times and known to being inventive freshness. The clocks that will go under the hammer include the Dodge clock from Cartier which features ebonite, diamonds, and enamel with two huge citrines on the face of the clock. Dated to the 1920s, there are only two known examples of this beautifully crafted timepiece. The other clock forms a part of the Cartier Collection.
Other clocks include a 1929 Ostertag lapis lazuli and diamond clock that is carried on two jade and diamond elephant sculptures, a 1930 Mauboussin enamel clock set in platinum, diamonds, onyx and four rock crystals, and a 1920 Van Cleef and Arpels annular clock crafted out of an amber snuff bottle and set in jade, onyx and gold.
